Yoka is back against Merhy

Tony Yoka (11-2-0) a decorated amateur heavyweight and 2016 Olympic Gold medalist, once a hot pro prospect, will make his comeback to the ring after two consecutive losses.

He lost at the hands of Martin Bakole (18-1-0), second loss was against French-Cameroonian former world title challenger Carlos Takam (39-7-1).

Yoka will be back against former WBA Cruiserweight champion, Belgian Ryad Merhy (31-2-0).

Yoka after his last loss parted ways with American coach Virgil Hunter. Now is trained by coach Don Charles in the UK. Charles is coach of heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois. It will be a crossroad fight for both boxers as the loser will be far away from the world top heavyweight elite.
