Usyk, undisputed heavyweight champion

Ukraine’s, Oleksandr Usyk (22-0) is undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Usyk on Saturday night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, beat Tyson Fury (34-1-1) by split decision to add the WBC World belt, to IBF, WBA, WBO and IBF belts that he had.
Two of judges scored the fight in favor of Usyk (114:113, 115:112) and one scored in favor of Fury (114:113).

It was very entertaining fight. Usyk was stronger in later rounds and in fact in ninth round he almost stopped Fury, but referee stepped in and counted Fury even though he was not down. The belt saved then Fury.

After the fight Fury said that he believes he won the fight. He and Usyk both showed readiness for a rematch and October could happen.

“I believe I won that fight. I believe he won a few of the rounds, but I won the majority. It was one of the daftest decisions in boxing. I’ll be back. The good little man got the decision. We’ll go back to our families and I’ll see him again in October. We’ll go back, rest up. I believe I won the fight but I’m not going to sit and cry and make excuses. We’ll run it again in October.”
In undercard Agit Kabayel (25-0) stopped Frank Sanchez (24-1) in seventh round in the fight for WBC eliminator in heavyweight division. Kabayel dropped Sanchez twice in seventh round with body shots.

Anthony Cacace (22-1) upset Joe Cordina (17-1) to claim IBF and IBO World super-featherweight titles. Cacace stopped Cordina in ninth round.
