Lele Sadjo relinquishes EBU title, in order to go ahead with Mbilli fight

Kevin Lele Sadjo (24-0, 21 KOs) has decided to relinquish EBU European title in super-middleweight in order to go ahead with IBF eliminator fight against Christian Mbilli (28-0, 23 KOs).

Lele Sadjo was supposed to fight Italian, Ivan Zucco (21-0, 18 KOs) in a mandatory defense, but he decided to relinquish title.

Zucco will now fight for vacant EBU title with next highest contender. At the moment number 2 in EBU ranking is Gustave Tamba (20-1, 14 KOs). Tamba currently holds EBU Silver title and is booked to defend it on January 25 against Spain’s Jose Luis Navarro Jr. (13-2, 9 KOs).
