Five-hundred boxers are expecting to participate at the Portimao Box Cup in Portugal this June

The next edition of the Portimao Box Cup will take place on June 6-8 at the Arena Portimao in the sunny Algarve, Portugal where 500 boxers are expected to participate.

The organizer of the Portimao Box Cup, Mr. Carlos André Reis arranged an outstanding event in Portugal in the recent years and teams enjoyed the friendly environment and the huge number of opponents.

The LOC is planning to use four rings during the Portimao Box Cup which could be even stronger than in the 2024 edition.

The Portimao Box Cup will be held for both genders and also for all of the age groups, the schoolgirls, the schoolboys, junior, youth and elite boxers as well.

Portugal hosts more competitions years by years, their Braga Open, the Porto Box Cup, the Odivelas Box Cup and the Portimao Box Cup all will feature in 2025 in order to promote boxing in the Iberian peninsula.  

The Portuguese female and male boxers are also progressed well in the recent three years, their best talents won preliminary contests in big championships as well. Their last appearance in the international stage was the 2025 Boxam Elite Tournament in La Nucia.

The Portimao Boxing School, the Portuguese Boxing Federation, the Algarve Boxing Association, the city of Portimao and Algarve tourism all support the success of the event.

June 5, 20:30 – Official Draw

June 6, 08:00-09:00 – Daily Medical Examination

June 6, 13:00 & 19:00 – Day1 competition

June 6, 18:00 – Official Opening Ceremony

June 7, 13:00 – Day2 competition

June 8, 13:00 – Day3 competition with the finals

June 8-9 – Departure of the delegations
