Adames vs. Sheeraz ends in draw, Stevenson defeats Padley
The WBC World middleweight title fight between Carlos Adames (24-1-1, 18 Kos) and Hamzah Sheeraz (21-1, 17 KOs) has ended in split draw.
Three judges scored differently the fight that was held on Saturday night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. One judge scored the fight 118:110 in favor of Adames, one scored 115:114 in favor of Sheeraz and one scored as draw (114:114).
Shakur Stevenson (23-0, 11 KOs) stopped Josh Padley (15-1, 4 KOs) in round nine in the fight for WBC World lightweight title. Stevenson dropped Padley three times in round nine. Padley came as late substitute instead of Floyd Schofield, who canceled because of illness.
