Amazing finals will be held at the 43rd Gee Bee Tournament today
After the busy semi-finals, exciting finals are expected at the 43rd edition of the Gee Bee Tournament in Helsinki.
Germany’s Mustafa Hamad did not have enough experience in the international stage yet but he worked hard in his semi-final and he made a big scalp at the men’s 50kg when he defeated Wales’ Scott Richards.
Netherlands’ new surprise, a teenage boy, Kian Terwint eliminated Germany’s Ali El Sari and he will have a strong test in the final of the men’s 55kg against Australia’s Paris Olympian Yusuf Chothia.
Netherlands’ King of the Ring winner Mahmoud Al Chabtoun dictated the tempo against Australia’s Jack Carlson and he joined the final of the men’s 60kg where he will now meet England’s William Hewitt for the gold medal.
Finland’s Ismail Umar proved in this Gee Bee Tournament that he is now ready to do big things in the international competitions. The tall Finnish eliminated Chinese Taipei’s two-time Olympian Lai Chu En and he will be boxing with another local boy, Dmitri Kataja for the title.
Another Dutch talent, Finn Bos proved his strong development in this Gee Bee Tournament and he won his third-in-a-row bout. He had a hard battle against Germany’s Chukwuka Okah-Ezeokeke but he managed the pathway to the final of the 70kg where he can expect a tactical contest against Sweden’s Kevin Scott.
Germany’s Tyron Amo competed in the 1st World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event one year ago and those experiences paid off against Norway’s Muslim Yusupov at the 90kg semi-final while Lithuania’s Arnas Kazakevicius delivered a KO success at the 85kg.
Germany’s next big talent, the Ulaanbaatar Box Cup winner Amin Younes Ouachou outpointed Finland’s Antti Lehmusvirpi and he can face a top name in the final of the super heavyweight, Norway’s Paris Olympian Omar Shiha.
