Khunjua, Tisayev and Hadjit made Belgium proud with their final spots at the Brussels Capital Tournament

Belgium’s young boxers such as Ana Khunjua, Rasul Tisayev and Noa Hadjit are all finalists at the Brussels Capital Tournament.

India’s Nivedita Karki and Belgium’s Sofia Khay will meet in the final of the women’s 48kg weight class.

Italy’s Martina Vassallo exceeded the expectations at the women’s 51kg with her final spot in Belgium’s capital. The teenage talent eliminated the experienced Srinivasan Kalaivani and she will have another Indian opponent in the final, Sharma Bhawna.

Ana Khunjua switched from Georgia to Belgium in the recent years and she was unstoppable for France’s young Kaelya Mopin which means she will now meet for the gold medal of the women’s 54kg weight class Italy’s Michel Nicol Vescovini.

Netherlands’ Maud Van der Toorn will meet India’s Paris Olympian Preeti in a battle between of different styles at the 57kg while the final of the 60kg will be another exciting one, Italy’s Rebecca Nicoli vs. Kosovo’s Donjeta Sadiku.

France’s Maelys Richol joined the elite events only last year but she had the long-range tactics to beat Australia’s Taylah Gentzen therefore the youngster will now face Switzerland’s No.1 Anna Jenni for the title of the women’s 65kg.

Montenegro’s Tomislav Djinovic used his aggressive style of boxing to beat Serbia’s Stefan Camovic and he can expect a hard final against India’s Dikshant Dahiya at the 60kg.

Belgium’s 19-year-old Rasul Tisayev boxed over his previous limit against France’s European medallist Lounes Hamraoui and he will now meet his teammate, Josias Kunungasana-Ngonda for the title of the 65kg.

Netherlands’ Farshid Bos can prepare to his next international final against France’s Olympian Makan Traore at the 70kg, while Belgium’s promising Noa Hadjit (80kg) and Italy’s Luca Iovoli (85kg) also marched to the title bouts.
