Tommy Fury beats Hanjalic on points in return after 18 months on sidelines
Tommy Fury (11-0, 4 KOs) beat Kenan Hanjalic (5-2, 4 KOs) in Budapest on Friday night in his first fight after 18 months on sidelines.
The main fight at “MTK Arena” in Budapest ended with a points win of Fury.
Brother of former unified heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, last fought in 2023 beating on points YouTuber turned boxer, KSI.
Tommy was suffering for ring rust but he managed to get the win.
Fury thanked his family after the fight, in particular his young daughter Bambi and his partner Molly-Mae Hague, who he split from last August before reconciling.
“I’ve been through a hell of a lot these last two years. I’ve been through things that tear men down – drunk, alcoholic,” Fury said.
“I lost my family for a little bit. But I’ve turned things around, I’ve gone from being low to being on top of the world again.”
In co-main event the other brother of Tyson Fury, Roman (5-0) stayed unbeaten defeating by KO in fourth round Josip Pehar (7-6) of Croatia.
Valentin Koloszar (2-0) won on points over Alexandru Ionita (7-35-1).
Sandor Varadi (4-0) won also by unanimous decision after four rounds over Nikolas Panic (4-15).
