The Olympic Champion Muydinkhudjayev returned in a new weight class successfully in Poland

Uzbekistan’s Olympic Champion Asadkhudja Muydinkhudjayev returned in his new weight class successfully at the World Boxing Cup, the 40th Feliks Stamm Memorial Tournament in Warsaw, Poland.

Poland’s Nikolas Pawlik will be turning 20 this year but he has the speed and the technical knowledge to beat stronger rivals such as Turkey’s Semih Gumus.

Sweden’ lone male Olympian in Paris was Nebil Ibrahim who decided to continue his career in the national team this year. The Swedish No.1 destroyed Germany’s Salah Ibrahim’s defence quickly and his pressure guaranteed his success at the men’s 55kg preliminary.

Poland’s Damian Durkacz is their best male boxer in the national team who had nearly 300 bouts during his career. The Polish controlled the three rounds against Germany’s Paris Olympian Magomed Schachidov and advanced to the next stage of boxing at the men’s 70kg weight class.

Uzbekistan’s Samandar Olimov won several titles as a junior and a youth boxer but the teenager is ready for the elite challenges as well. The 19-year-old Uzbek dominated the three rounds against Poland’s Michal Akoto-Ampaw in the men’s 60kg division.

Poland’s Bartlomiej Roskowicz, the Youth World medallist, met an ever younger opponent, Wales’ Milwyn Lloyd in the preliminary round of the men’s 65kg and he managed the triumph in a hectic contest.

Uzbekistan’s Olympic Champion Asadkhudja Muydinkhudjayev moved down to the 65kg weight class but he looked fresh enough to beat Sweden’s Hampus Broman while Italy’s Gianluigi Malanga and Germany’s Ousainou Hansen also marched to the next round.

Bulgaria’s Paris Olympian Rami Kiwan eliminated a dangerous opponent, Wales’ Orlando Holley-Sotomi at the men’s 80kg weight class while Uzbekistan’s star Jakhongir Zokirov won the last bout of the first day.
