Znamiec, Durkacz and Scott are medallists at the men’s 70kg in Warsaw with remarkable victories
Poland’s Cezary Znamiec and Damian Durkacz, furthermore Sweden’s Kevin Scott all had remarkable performance at the men’s 70kg in 40th Feliks Stamm Memorial Tournament in Warsaw, Poland.
Lithuania’s best male boxer, Edgaras Skurdelis is a 32-year-old veteran who joined the international events still back in 2008. The Lithuanian No.1 returned to the events and he had the experience to beat Wales’ youngster Axel Hegarty at the busy men’s 60kg weight class.
Poland’s Cezary Znamiec is No.2 at the men’s 70kg weight class in his homeland but he claimed several medals in the international stage and he eliminated a neighbour, Lithuania’s Aleksandr Trofimcuk. Poland’s No.1 in this weight class, the two-time Olympian Damian Durkacz had another energetic performance and defeated England’s Patrick Hewitt.
Sweden’s 22-year-old Kevin Scott has strong family roots in boxing and he is better in every tournaments which progress he proved in the Feliks Stamm Memorial as well. The Swedish 70kg boxer defeated Turkey’s Necat Ekinci using his smart strategy against an Olympian opponent.
Uzbekistan’s trio as Gofurjon Tokhirov (70kg), the Asian Elite Champion Javokhir Ummataliyev (80kg) and the Youth World Champion 19-year-old Akmaljon Isroilov (85kg) all succeeded in the second competition day against good rivals.
Bulgaria’s multiple European Champion in various age groups, William Cholov moved up to the men’s 80kg weight class and the 22-year-old talent had the excellent footwork to beat Turkey’s Birol Aygun in a one-sided bout.
Uzbekistan’s five-time Asian Champion Jakhongir Zokirov is the new king of the super heavyweight and he dominated his opener against Turkey’s Mucahit Ilyas while Norway’s Paris Olympian Omar Shiha had another strong performance.
