Nielsen, Moller, Arndell, Pasichenko, Mencaroni and El-Tarmimi all amazed in Eger on Day3

Another fantastic session, the third competition day took place at the 74th edition of the Bornemissza Memorial Tournament in Eger, Hungary.

Hungary’s Noel Farkas was not the favourite against Ukraine’s David Horvat who has Hungarian roots, but he exceeded the previous expectations and won this 40kg bout among the U15 boys.

Latvia’s Silvestrs Vasilevskis caused a small surprise at the U15 44kg weight class when he eliminated Hungary’s Krisztian Varadi but Italy’s duo as Vincenzo Viola (46kg) and Valentino Risoluti (57kg) also succeeded in the third day of boxing.

Latvia’s Luka Bondarenko eliminated a top Ukrainian, Kyrylo Chumakov at the 48kg weight class and Finland’s Miio Ristola also proved his amazing progress against Italy’s more experienced Simone Rosario on Day3.

Denmark’s Eren Buldak, Ukraine’s Roman Chernyshov and France’s Noa Sanchez controlled their U17 fights at the 48kg before Norway’s Mathias Nielsen and Latvia’s reserve boxer, Timurs Gulbis eliminated their powerful opponents in Eger.

Another U17 Norwegian, Oscar Moller had the enthusiasm to beat Hungary’s Szebasztian Megyesi at the 63kg weight class while Italy’s Roberto Miglietta defeated the best local boxer, the multiple National Champion Levente Turos at the 66kg.

Netherlands’ new U17 national team member Sam Arndell defeated a top Ukrainian on Day2 and he continued his winning path against Hungary’s Norbert Toth at the 75kg weight class as next.

Italy’s Tommaso Orlando (50kg) and Sasha Mencaroni (55kg) both had hard battles in Eger on Day3 but their technical skills guaranteed the victories for them.

Denmark’s best U19 boxer, Reda Al-Tarmimi outpointed Hungary’s Romeo Bader at the 50kg while Ukraine’s Oleksandr Pasichenko knocked out a Junior World bronze medallist, Dominik Gombai at the 55kg.
