Nunez defeats Rikiishi, wins IBF title
Eduardo Nunez (28-1, 27 KOs) is the new IBF World super-featherweight title.
Mexican defeated on Wednesday in Yokohama, Japan, Masanori Rikiishi (16-2, 11 KOs) via unanimous decision (115:113, 116:112 and 117:111) in the fight for vacant IBF World title.
Eduardo Nunez boxed brilliantly from start-to-finish and proved too much for a defiant Masanori Rikiishi display, en route to capturing the vacant IBF world junior lightweight title with a 12-round unanimous decision victory on away turf.
Yoshiki Takei (11-0, 9 KOs) defended his WBO World bantamweight title stopping Yuttapong Tongdee (15-1, 9 KOs) in round one.
