Tokhirov and Yeasungnoen won tight bouts at the Thailand Open
Uzbekistan’s Nusratbek Tokhirov and Thailand’s Peerapat Yeasungnoen won the tightest contests at the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament in Bangkok on Day5.
Jordan’s Zaid Aldeen Iashaish defeated a young opponent, Thailand’s 20-year-old Thananchai Phoemsap while India’s Deepak, and Uzbekistan’s Javokhir Abdurakhimov and also advanced to the semi-finals at the men’s middleweight (75kg).
Thailand’s Peerapat Yeasungnoen has nine years of international experience in our sport and he boxed all levels of boxing excluding the Olympic Games. The 25-year-old middleweight (75kg) boxer won two out of the three rounds against Ukraine’s Viacheslav Bryhadenko and he is not a guaranteed medallist in Bangkok.
China’s Tuohetaerbieke Tanglatihan not only controlled the first round against Japan’s Tetsuto Nakajima but he stopped his opponent in the second round. Kyrgyzstan’s Omurbek Bekzhigit Uulu, Kazakhstan’s Dias Molzhigitov and Uzbekistan’s Samandar Djalolov were the further winners at the men’s 80kg.
Uzbekistan’s ASBC Asian Youth Champion Nusratbek Tokhirov will turn to 22 this year and the 85kg is perfect for his physical condition but he exceeded the expectations with his victor over Jordan’s three-time Olympian Hussein Iashaish.
Thailand’s ASBC Asian Champion Jakkapong Yomkhot is another ace at the 85kg weight class who started the first round well enough against Ukraine’s Pavlo Michovskyi and he was able to keep the same rhythm until the last gong.
Kyrgyzstan’s Rio 2016 Olympian and multiple Asian medallist Erkin Adylbek Uulu is 34-year-old but he is still hungry for the further successes and he looked too experienced for South Korea’s Shon Kyung Bin at the 85kg weight class.
