Uisma Lima stops Koopman, defends IBO World title

Uisma Lima (14-1, 10 KOs) defended his IBO World super-welterweight title on Saturday night in Gauteng, South Africa, stopping local favorite Shervantaigh Koppman (15-1, 10 KOs) in round nine.

For Lima it was first title defense. He won the title in December last year defeating in Canada, Sukhdeep Singh Bhatti, via unanimous decision.

Lima’s only loss in career came from hands of Aaron McKenna in June 2023, when he lost via unanimous decision in the fight for WBC International middleweight title.
