The Uzbek Olympic Champions shined in the first day at the Eindhoven Box Cup

The exciting and the strongest ever Eindhoven Box Cup saw the amazing start of the Uzbek Olympic Champions on Day1.

Mongolia sent a strong female team to the Eindhoven Box Cup and their Balsan Mungunsaran (51kg) and Yesugen Oyuntsetseg (54kg) both defeated their German rivals with full controls.

England’s Lauren Mackie is still a youngster in their elite national team but she had the experience to keep the control against Ukraine’s Diana Petrenko in the first round and she finished the job in the second with a stoppage.  

Ukraine’s Oleksandr Vasko and Mongolia’s Dorjnyambuu Ganbold both are in developing stage and their 60kg meeting delivered a high-rhythm bout in Eindhoven which was won by the European boxer.

Uzbekistan’s Olympic Champion Asadkhudja Muydinkhujaev outpointed Ukraine’s Yevhenii Ivaniuk in all of the three rounds and he managed his pathway to the next stage at the men’s 70kg weight class while Abdumalik Khalokov also had an easy success on Day1.

Another star in this male weight category, Kazakhstan’s three-time World medallist Ablaikhan Zhussupov had the tactical victory over Lithuania’s powerful Aleksandr Trofimcuk.

Palestine’s Nidal Foqahaa opened his campaign in style, he eliminated Germany’s Leo Teticu at the 70kg weight class while his teammate, the Paris Olympian Wasim Abusal was also near to beat Netherlands’ Luuk Elzinga at the 60kg.

Denmark’s Silas Yde had a small surprise against Germany’s Ben Ehis at the 80kg while Belgium’s Idris Leganase also had a tight 3:2 triumph over another promising German, Valerij Walter.

Uzbekistan’s Turabek Khabibullayev, Germany’s Tyron Amo, Kazakhstan’s Sagyndyk Togambay, Lithuania’s Algirdas Baniulis, Belgium’s Idris Shonubi and Kazakhstan’s Nurlan Saparbay won contests in the heavier weight categories.
