Xhoxhaj vs. Aliev this weekend for EBU European heavyweight title

Labinot Xhoxhaj (20-0-1, 16 KOs) will defend his EBU European heavyweight title on Saturday in Hamburg when he faces the unbeaten Mourad Aliev (13-0, 10 KOs).

For Xhoxhaj will be first title defense. He won the title on November last year, defeating Oleksandr Zakhozhyi (19-1, 15 KO) via unanimous decision.

“I won’t make the mistake to look past Xhoxhaj,” Aliev told “The Ring”. “This is the fight I am thinking of, it doesn’t make sense to even discuss further steps until I beat him.”
