Labinot Xhoxhaj defeats Aliev, retains EBU European heavyweight title

Kosovo’s Labinot Xhoxhaj (21-0-1, 16 KOs) has defended his EBU European heavyweight title. Xhoxhaj defeated on Saturday night in Hamburg the undefeated Mourad Aliev (13-1) via unanimous decision.

All three judges saw Xhoxhaj as winner (115:113, 114:113, 115:112).

For Xhoxhaj it was the first title defense.

He won the EBU title on November last year beating Oleksandr Zakhozhyi.

The fight on Saturday night against Aliev was also for WBC International Silver title.

Xhoxhaj is aiming to fight big names in heavyweight division.
