Wardley stops Huni, wins WBA Interim title

Fabio Wardley (19-0-1, 18 KO), clearly behind on cards of all three judges, scored a big one punch KO in round 10 against Justis Huni (12-1) and won the WBA Interim World heavyweight title on Saturday night in Ipswich.

Huni was dominating the fight and the scorecards until ninth round were (88:83, 89:82 and 89:82) in favor of the Australian.

But on round 10, Wardley dropped Huni with big right to the head and referee counted him out.

Huni’s team said they will lodge a protest. They were unhappy with referee John Latham.
