Jai Opetaia stops Squeo in round five, defends IBF World cruiserweight title

Jai Opetaia (28-0, 22 KOs) defeated the challenger from Italy, Claudio Squeo (17-1, 9 KOs) on Sunday in Queensland, Australia and defended his IBF World cruiserweight title.

Fight was one sided and Opetaia finished the encounter in fifth round.

Opetaia would like to fight next Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (47-1), the WBO and WBA cruiserweight champion. But Ramirez will first defend his WBO and WBA titles against Yuniel Dorticos (27-2) on June 28 in Anaheim, USA.
