Kloetzer, Lakotar and Shinohara had top triumphs at the quarter-finals of the Grand Prix Usti nad Labem

Gemany’s Maxi Kloetzer, Hungary’s Hanna Lakotar and Japan’s Hikaru Shinkhara all impressed in the women’s quarter-finals at the Grand Prix Usti nad Labem in Czechia on Day2.

Japan’s super technician Hikaru Shinohara was ASBC Asian Youth Champion in 2019 and she needed several years to be the No.1 an as elite in her weight class but she made another perfect performance, this time she defeated Finland’s Laura Myllymaeki.

Norway’s strong Francine Ahadi Lukungu won smaller international events in the recent years and she is now a medallist at the women’s 48kg weight class after beating Mongolia’s Enkh-Amgalan Nomundari while Slovakia’s Nicole Durikova and Mexico’s Alexa Gomez both are semi-finalists.

Germany’s best female boxer, Maxi Kloetzer, the returning Paris Olympian, had to face with England’s U19 World Champion Alice Pumphrey in the quarter-finals of the women’s 51kg and she defeated her unbeaten opponent with attacking style of boxing.

Another Paris Olympian female youngster, Pihla Kaivo-Oja managed her pathway to the semi-final after her success over Mexico’s Fatima Patricia Herrera but Canada’s veteran McKenzie Wright and Japan’s new sensation, Yuna Nishinaka are also in the last four at the 51kg.

Hungary’s Hanna Lakotar proved her strong progress against Germany’s Tatjana Obermaier at the women’s 54kg weight class where Yoseline Perez of the USA, Charley Davidson of England and Sirine Charaabi of Italy are the further semi-finalists.  

Laura Djida Akram lives in England but she represents Pakistan in the international stage and the veteran boxer shined against Palestine’s Noura Salman on Day2, furthermore Erdenedalai Michidmaa of Mongolia, Brazil’s star Jucielen Romeu and Alyssa Mendoza of United States joined the last four.
