The 20th Silesian Women’s Open Tournament will be a top highlight in September

The 20^th edition of the Silesian Women’s Open Tournament will take place in Gliwice, Poland on September 7-14 this year.

The upcoming Silesian Women’s Open Tournament will be preparation events for the upcoming European U23 Boxing Championships and the European U19 Boxing Championships.

The international competition will be held for the women’s elite, U19 youth and U17 junior boxers in Gliwice and due to the upcoming main goals, high number of countries are expecting to take part.

The Event Director Mr. Henryk Wilk is the engine of the Silesian Women’s Open Tournament who launched the competition to develop female boxing in Poland.

The first Silesian Women’s Open Boxing Tournament was held still in 2006 with the participation of a few neighbouring countries.

The level of the competition was uprising in the recent years step by steps and the first non-European countries are joined the women’s international event in 2013.
