Liam Paro stops Navarro in five

Former super-lightweight world champion Liam Paro (26-1, 16 KOs) stopped Jonathan Navarro (18-2, 9 KOs) in round five on Wednesday night in Queensland, Australia.  

Fight was in welterweight and scheduled for 10 rounds.

Paro after the win said he wants another title belt.

“I want another belt,” Paro said immediately afterwards. “Two time champion has a ring to it.”

He won the title on June last year, beating Subriel Matias, but lost it to Richardson Hitchins in first defense.

In co-main event Liam Wilson (16-3) defeated Ayrton Omar Gimenez (22-2) in 10-rounder super-featherweight contest and captured the WBO International belt.
