Ostrava will be the host of the historic European U19 Boxing Championships from September 28

The European U19 Boxing Championships will be held in Ostrava, Czech Republic from September 28 until October 10 this year.

The U19 age group, or previously known as youth, means the 2007 and 2008 born boxers are eligible to participate in Ostrava.

Ostrava arranged several international events in the previous 30 years but never hosted any European Boxing Championships yet.

The handbook of the European U19 Boxing Championships has issued and boxers have been in preparation stage for the event.

The arrival day for the competition is September 28, the first competition day is September 30 while the finals will take place on October 9.

The World Boxing’s first competition, the U19 World Boxing Championships was held in Pueblo, United States last October and several of those European medallists are planning to participate in Ostrava.
