The Ukrainians dominated the elite finals at the Mustafa Hajrulahovic Memorial Tournament
Bosnia & Herzegovina’s next event, the Mustafa Hajrulahovic Memorial Tournament recognized impressive final contests in Sarajevo where the Ukrainians amazed in several weight categories.
The Serbian girls impressed in the competition, Anastasija Lukajic defeated Ukraine’s Marina Shevchenko at the 65kg weight class, and her experienced teammate, Nikolina Gajic triumphed over Anastasija Boskovic at the 70kg final.
Kosovo’s Riad Isufi won the first youth category in the event, he had a successful mission against Bulgaria’s Dzhan Fikret before Hong Kong’s Tang Kit Fu defeated Hamed Subasic at the youth 55kg final.
Bosnia & Herzegovina’s best U19 youth boxer, Tarik Huric continued his winning path against a strong opponent, Afghanistan’s Milaad Yaqoubi.
Bulgaria’s Vladimir Davidov and his teammate, Roselin Bachevski won their youth weight categories in Sarajevo, but Croatia’s Taras Kaznakov, Albania’s No.1, Ahmed Koci, Austria’s Ihor Nehodi and Croatia’s Niko Goreta also shined in the U19 finals.
Ukraine’s Maksym Zymenko had a hard mission in the semi-finals of the men’s 55kg weight class against Palestine’s Paris Olympian Wasim Abusal and after that he destroyed Hong Kong’s Ho Paak Ying in the final.
Ukraine’s Rasul Guliyev had the skills to win the elite lightweight (60kg) final over a European medallist, Tomislav Djinovic of Montenegro.
Ukraine’s European U23 Champion Dzhamal Kuliyev was confident against Albania’s young Besian Karaj and he earned the title of the middleweight (75kg) in Sarajevo before his teammate, Artur Kasianov bagged the gold at the light heavyweight (80kg).
The Ukrainians controlled the heaviest elite categories in Sarajevo, their Mykola Laktionov (85kg), Vsevolod Rybalko (90kg) and Stanislav Tsurkan (+90kg) all claimed the titles.
