The Italian U17 girls and the returning Sara Varga shined in Gliwice on Day3

The Italian U17 girls and the returning Sara Varga of Hungary shined at the 20^th edition of the Silesian Women’s Open Tournament in Gliwice on Day3.

Norway’s Oline Stigen Sorensen was born in a boxing family and she had a perfect performance in the semi-finals of the U15 54kg against Poland’s Dorawa Klabuhn therefore she will now meet for the title Hungary’s Golden Girl runner-up Vivien Varga.

One of the top Polish U15 talents, Agnieszka Paprocka dominated the first round against Emilia Moldrzyk and she finished the job in the second which means the 14-year-old boxer will be fighting for the title of the Silesian Open as next.

The +80kg weight class is always strong in Poland, their elite Agata Kaczmarska is a medallist in the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool and their U15 talents such as Maja Hoffman and Amelia Stepien marched to the finals in Gliwice.

Kazakhstan’s U17 talent, Lashyn Dauletzhan continued her winning series against Katarzyna Gornisiewicz and she will face with another Polish girl in the final of the 50kg, Alicja Michalak who had a tough bout for the title bout.

The Italians continued to impress in the U17 age group, their Matilde Bertolone (46kg), Serena Scalco (52kg), Kesia Reale (54kg), Amelia Zamana (57kg), the European medallist Mira Amadori (57kg), Rachele Perna (60kg) and Giada Lopez (63kg) all advanced to the finals.

Hungary’s Youth World quarter-finalist Sara Varga returned to the events only in July after a long injury but she proved her top shape in the session when she stopped Poland’s Natalia Goralczyk in the first round.

Czech Republic’s Julie Polednikova (57kg), Poland’s Oliwia Wasiakowska (57kg), Germany’s Penelope Grochau (60kg) were the best U19 boxers of the session while Serbia’s Anastasija Lukajic amazed among the elites.
