Brilliant day for Poland in Liverpool

The Polish girls delivered historic results in the day of the semi-finals at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool.

Poland’s Olympian Aneta Rygielska moved down to the 60kg and she looked energetic in the entire championship. The 29-year-old boxer found the best fighting distance against China’s Yang Chengyu and she will meet Brazil’s Rebeca Santos for the title.

Poland’s next ace, their Olympics silver medallist Julia Szeremeta had a tight success over Colombia’s Valeria Arboleda and after that 3:2 success, she will now face India’s Jaismine Lamboriya who eliminated Venezuela’s Omailyn Alcala.

Agata Kaczmarska not only eliminated the World Champion from China but she was too fast for Kazakhstan’s Yeldana Talipova in the semi-finals of the +80kg. The 27-year-old Polish boxer will now meet for the gold India’s Nupur Sheoran who has just moved up to this weight class and eliminated her Turkish rival.

Kazakhstan’s Aida Abikeyeva is a World Champion boxer and she looked highly confident against Ireland’s Grainne Walsh which means that she will be boxing with Uzbekistan’s Navbakhor Khamidova for the gold of the 65kg.

Uzbekistan’s Abdumalik Khalokov was a hard target for Japan’s Shunsuke Kitamoto today and she has the chance to earn his second World title against Brazil’s best male boxer, Luiz Gabriel Oliveira at the men’s 60kg.

Uzbekistan’s Fazliddin Erkinboyev used his amazing footwork to beat his former compatriot, Saidjamshid Jafarov who represented Azerbaijan. The 20-year-old Uzbek will be boxing with Bulgaria’s European Champion Rami Kiwan in the final of the 75kg.

Uzbekistan’s Jakhongir Zokirov enjoyed his semi-final against China’s Danabieke Bayikewuzi and he can prepare a top fight against Kazakhstan’s Aibek Oralbay in an anticipated super heavyweight final.
