Baraou, now WBA World champion in super-welterweight division

Abass Baraou (17-1, 9 KO) has been upgradet from WBA Interim World champion to WBA World champion in super-welterweight division, reports “Deutschen Presse-Agentur”.

Baraou won Interim title on August 23 beating Cuba’s, Yoenis Tellez (10-1) by unanimous decision.

“I was very happy to win the Interim World title and now to be upgraded to World champion, is the next step. I’m very happy, but I didn’t plan any party yet. I will make a celebration when I make my next title defense”, Baraou said.
