Rising stars will compete in Ostrava next week

Altogether 105 female and 190 male boxers have registered to the upcoming European U19 Boxing Championships, which will be held in Ostrava, Czech Republic from September 28.

Azerbaijan has an impressive U19 male team, their Bilalhabasi Nazarov, Zidan Hunbatov, Subhan Babayev, Abbasgulu Shadlinski and Mahammad Jafarov were all medallists in top international events.

England’s duo, Mohammad Safari and Isaac Huczmann will lead their team but all of their participating boxers are medal hopefuls in Ostrava.

Tommaso Orlando, Sasha Mencaroni, Gabriel Morale and Aharon Corona will lead the Italian U19 male squad in Ostrava where all of the Ukrainians have strong potential in the upcoming event.

European Junior Champion Fabian Stroe and the another European Junior medallist, Darius Stegari will be strengthening Team Romania.

The coaches of the Czech Republic selected maximum number of 10 boxers to participate in Ostrava where among them Ondrej Tomas is the top name.

France’s Mohamed Dahmane Djemmal and Sami Jeddi both have brilliant technical skills and based on their previous results they are favourites.

Georgia’s best hopes are Zviad Tchotchua, Zurab Oboladze and Akaki Basaria while Ireland’s Kurt McIntyre and the European Junior Champion John Maher are planning to fly high in Ostrava.

Bulgaria’s Yanko Iliev and Greece’s Emmanouil Fotiadis both were European Junior Champions but Poland’s Junior World Champion Fabian Urbanski, Germany’s U19 World medallist Mohamed Al Manouchi, and Albania’s Ahmed Koci are also boxers who need to be watched.

Denmark’s Rida Al-Tamimi, Norway’s Stefan Ogorelica and Sweden’s Ejesum Divine Chimuanya are the Nordic powers in the competition. Latvia’s Nikolajs Zamjatins and Nikita Prohovskis both were medallists in the previous European Championships.
