Total number of 205 boxers will compete at the Boxam Youth-Junior-Schoolboys-Schoolgirls Tournament in La Nucia
The new edition of the Boxam Youth & Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Tournament opened with its Technical Meeting and Official Draw in its traditional location in the Alicante region, Spain.
The President of the Royal Spanish Boxing Federation, Mr. Felipe Martinez, the Technical Delegate of the Tournament, Mr. Tommy Tejera and the Competition Manager of the Boxam, Mr. Ales Castillo led the Technical Meeting in the Melia Hotel Benidorm today.
The total number of the boxers is 205 in this new Boxam Tournament in all age groups and both genders. The 153 male boxers can compete in 23 categories, while the 52 female talents can compete in weight classes in La Nucia.
The first session of the competition will start with 31 bouts in the Pabellon Muixara in La Nucia tomorrow from 14:30.
Bulgaria, Colombia, France, Georgia, Ireland, Mexico, Moldova, the Netherlands, the Neutral Team, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia and Ukraine are the participating nations this year.
Eleven referees and judges will be working in the Boxam Tournament in La Nucia from tomorrow and the event will be held in five competition days.
The 2009 and the 2010 age group for both genders competed in the junior age group in La Nucia. The 2007 and 2008 born boxers were eligible to attend in the youth level of boxing at the new edition of the Boxam Tournament. The 2011 and 2012 born boxers will compete in the schoolboys and schoolgirls age group.
