White, Jilkova, Al Manouchi, Abdulaevi, and Kethuda are all finalists in Ostrava

The second part of the semi-finals have finished at the European U19 Boxing Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic and only the best 40 boxers remained in actions.

Ukraine’s Taisiia Pokusai boxed better in her semi-final than in the quarters, therefore she had the clear success over Poland’s Nadia Formela which means that she can meet for the gold England’s U19 World Champion Ruby White.

Czech Republic’s Viktorie Jilkova has already eliminated her main rival, Netherlands’ U19 Aaliyah Hoppema therefore she was highly confident in her semi-final against Turkey’s Yagmur Teke at the women’s 65kg today.

Turkey’s Havvanur Kethuda, the Youth World Champion, shocked the Polish boxer with her strength and Kethuda is on the best way to defend her European title against Olena Chernokolenko of Ukraine.

Germany’s Mohamed Al Manouchi can prepare to his next big final after his tight victory over Ukraine’s 17-year-old Rashyd Bonus in the semi-finals which means that only England’s Mohammad Riza Safari has the chance to destroy his dreams.

Georgia’s Elnur Abdulaevi had the strong start against Germany’s Marko Nedeljkovic and he had the advantage in all of the scorecards after three minutes. The Georgian finished the bout in the second round with a stoppage and he will now face for the gold of the men’s 75kg, England’s Oliver Male.

The dream final has realized in the women’s 57kg where England’s Caitlyn Wise and Ireland’s Grace Conway Dowling won their semi-finals while England’s Thabiso Moyo and Italy’s Miriam Di Savino will be the finalists at the 75kg.

Poland’s top male boxer in the U19 team, the Junior World Champion Fabian Urbanski did not make any big risks against his semi-final opponent, the big puncher, Sandor Varadi of Hungary and he marched to the finals of the 80kg.
