France’s Mathilda Fragnieres arrived to the European U19 Championships as the main favourite for the gold at the women’s 48kg and she accomplished her target against Azerbaijan’s Banuchichak Nasirli.

Her teammate, Maloe Teresi was also a gold medal contender in Ostrava and she used her extraordinary technical skills to beat Poland’s Zuzanna Golebiewska at the women’s 54kg.

Georgia’s Luka Chkhikvadze prepared well against Ireland’s Sean McCusker and his technical skills decided their 60kg final in Ostrava. His teammate, Akaki Basaria started his 70kg final against Ukraine’s Vladyslav Chyniuk with a fantastic rhythm and the referee confirmed his quick RSC triumph.

Poland’s Junior World Champion Fabian Urbanski controlled the 80kg final over Georgia’s Davit Mkhetsadze from the first seconds while England’s newcomer in the U19 national team, Adekalie Kargbo stopped Lithuania’s Daumantas Vilkas at the 90kg.
