Yolber Bandomo is back on track in La Nucia
Spain’s Youth World silver medallist Yolber Daniel Bandomo is back on track in the Boxam Youth & Junior & Schoolboys Tournament in La Nucia and he won the best fight of the day.
Two Portuguese talents such as Lisandro Pinto and Pedro Aranha advanced to the final of the schoolboys 60kg and Aranha was slightly better in the exchanges.
Georgia’s Shalva Beridze is an amazing junior talent who used his counter-attacking style to beat Bulgaria’s Nikolay Karaboykov in their light flyweight (48kg) semi-final.
Georgia’s Emil Ismailovi eliminated Mexico’s Marcos Rodriguez the final of the junior flyweight (50kg) where he will now meet Colombia’s Izzon Galea.
Spain’s Elijah Sanchez demonstrated his strength against Georgia’s Mate Voloshin the light bantamweight (52kg) and Bulgaria’s Zigfrit Sasheva also impressed in this category.
Georgia’s Beka Okruashvili landed a lethal shot against Spain’s Wesley Dacutan and he delivered a classic KO at the junior lightweight (60kg).
Netherlands’ Samir Arndell smashed most of his opponents this year and the 15-year-old Dutch continued his strong performance against Mexico’s Jacel Mecias at the middleweight (75kg).
Spain’s Daniel Garcia made a big U-turn against France’s Mourad Berraho and he won this junior middleweight (75kg) contest. France’s Warren Tchoffo shocked Mexico’s Antonio Duran with his attacks and he destroyed the defence of his opponent quickly.
Spain’s Ayoub El Mousaoui and Portugal’s Rhenan Silva both showed their excellent fighting spirit in the men’s youth 55kg weight class and they advanced to the semi-finals of the Boxam.
Spain’s Yolber Bandomo returned to the international stage in this Boxam Tournament and he worked hard in the ring to beat Mexico’s David Reyes in one of the best contests of the third day.
