Mayweather vs. Pacquiao II could happen next year
A rematch between Floyd Mayweather Jr. (50-0, 27 KOs) and Manny Pacquiao (62-8-3, 38 KOs) is being explored to take place next year in another Netflix boxing event, sources told “The Ring”.
In the first fight between them in May 2015, Mayweather outpointed Pacquiao.
The event shattered revenue records, generating 4.6 million PPV buys, the most all time, along with a record gate of $72.2 million in Las Vegas. Overall, the event approached $600 million in revenue.
Pacquiao returned in ring in July this year, fighting to a majority draw against Mario Barrois in fight for WBC World welterweight title.
46-year-old is aiming to continue and fight again for title.
Sources told “Boxing Scene” that Pacquiao wants to face Mayweather in a real fight.
