Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan both achieved five titles at the Asian Youth Games

Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan both claimed five titles at the boxing event of the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.

The Indians shined in the opening female finals of the Games, firstly Khushi Chand defeated China’s Luo Jinxiu, secondly Ahanaa Sharma stopped Ma Jong Hyang, while Chandrika Pujari controlled all of the three rounds against Uzbekistan’s Kumriniso Mukhammadova at the 54kg.

Ayaulym Ospanova and her sister, Kamila both succeeded in the women’s finals during the Games, the first defeated India’s Harnoor Kaur while the second controlled her 75kg title bout over Uzbekistan’s Samira Turgunova.

Uzbekistan’s Abdugani Yorkinjonov and Kazakhstan’s powerful Arman Myrsabit arranged an amazing final bout at the pinweight (46kg) which delivered a tight 3:2 Uzbek success.

Kazakhstan’s best junior, the 16-year-old Zhumagali Nurmakhan won several international events during his career and he continued his winning path against India’s Lanchenba Singh Moibungkhongbam.

Another Kazakh talent, Doszhan Zhumakan had a difficult job against Iran’s Asian Schoolboys Champion Matin Chamipa but due to his great finish, he was able to take the title of the boys’ 54kg weight class.

Uzbekistan’s most experienced male junior boxer, Ibrokhim Shokirjonov had the best tactics to beat Kyrgyzstan’s lone finalist, Zubair Akramov at the 60kg.

Kazakhstan’s Daniyal Shalkarbay delivered one of the main sensations in the Games when he defeated Uzbekistan’s favourite, the Asian Junior Champion Saidkhudja Sadillakhudjayev at the 66kg final.

Uzbekistan finished the Asian Youth Games with two titles, Diyorbek Murodilloyev was too strong for his Iranian opponent, Mehrshad Sherafatmand at the 75kg, while Asadbek Sultanboyev had a successful mission against Kazakhstan’s Mukhamedali Rustembek at the +80kg final.
