The junior talents amazed in the Spanish Club National Championships

The junior boxers were fantastic in the semi-finals part of the Spanish Club National Championships in the boxing city of La Nucia.

Manuel Perez was smaller than Adonay Medrano in their schoolboys 40kg semi-final but he used a long-distance strategy today. Perez controlled the first and second rounds and despite his opponent’s excellent finish, he won the contest by 3:2 split decision.

Rafael Borrego used his counter-attacking style of boxing to beat Filip Bucalina at the schoolboys 54kg weight class before David Gonzalez amazed against Ruben Corbalan in the same age group but at the 60kg.

Elijah Sanchez was a gold medallist at the Boxam Tournament one month ago and he returned to La Nucia after one month. The junior light bantamweight (52kg) boxer dominated his semi-final from the second round against Mohammed Ba Mboup and he managed the pathway to the final.

Spain’s best junior boxers such as Pablo Souto, Daniel Garcia and Efosa Wisdom all impressed in the session. The strong trio defeated their opponents by large margin of differences and joined the finals of the Club Nationals.

Godwin Eromonsel landed several great punches in the first round against Alejandro Gil and he took the lead on the judges’ scorecards. Gil returned to the fight in the second round with an aggressive strategy and he knocked out his rival in this youth middleweight (75kg) semi-final.

Enrique Kakulov represented Spain at the World Championships in Liverpool and he had a technician performance against Nicolas Veniamin Popescu at the men’s elite 60kg. The 21-year-old boxer was brilliant and his unanimous success was a well-deserved in the evening session.

Another elite talent, Eduard Usik was highly confident against Nagaliane Gomis Dasylva and he dictated the tempo from the first seconds.
