The Official Draw of the European U23 Boxing Championships confirmed the participation of 271 boxers

Altogether 271 boxers from 32 nations will compete at the European U23 Boxing Championships in Budapest, Hungary from tomorrow.

The Technical Meeting and the Official Draw completed in the third continental event of this autumn, at the European U23 Boxing Championships.

The first competition day will start with 43 male preliminary bouts tomorrow in Hungary’s capital city and the BOK Arena is waiting for the local fans.

Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and Wales are the participating nations.

Boxers who were born in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 are eligible to participate in the European U23 Boxing Championships where 10 female and 10 male athletes will earn their gold medals.

Budapest was the host of the European Elite Boxing Championships in 1985, the World Boxing Championships in 1997.

Bulgaria’s No.1, Radoslav Rosenov is one of the top stars of the competition and his opening contest against Hungary’s well-developed Kruzito Kovacs could be an amazing preliminary battle at the 60kg.

Ireland’s World Championships bronze medallist Thady Patsy Joyce will meet another gold medal contender, Ukraine’s powerful Maksym Zymenko at the Round of 16 in the 55kg.
