Bulgaria’s genius, Radoslav Rosenov – It is amazing that I am already 8-times European Champion

Bulgaria’s Radoslav Rosenov defended his throne at the European U23 Boxing Championships in Budapest with amazing performance.

Radoslav Rosenov achieved a silver medal at the 2017 European Schoolboys Boxing Championships, which he followed with two titles among the juniors, and same double among the youth boxers.

He claimed gold medals in the European U23 Championships in 2022, 2023 and in 2024 as well and the title in Budapest was his fourth in this age group.

The Olympian Rosenov achieved a bronze medal in Liverpool and he was unstoppable for all of the opponents in Budapest. The 22-year-old Bulgarian was a genius in the ring against Turkey’s Mehmethan Cinar and he claimed his eighth European gold in total.

Sofia will be the host of the next European Elite Boxing Championships on September 15-26 in 2026 where Radoslav Rosenov has the chance to earn his ninth European title.

“The level of the organization at the European U23 Boxing Championships was great, I enjoyed the competition in Budapest.

I was well-prepared for this European Championship, and I did not let my opponents to take the gold medal in Hungary.

I had to play with a local Hungarian boxer in the first preliminary round but that was not a problem for me, I used my best strategy and game plan. I can say that there were not any difficult contests for me in the European U23 Boxing Championships.

I knew that I will be the champion and the best boxer in Europe and it is a great feeling that currently I am already 8-times gold medallist in the continent.

My next plan is to set a new record in the upcoming Strandja Memorial Tournament in Sofia to take my 5^th title in the event. I am focusing also to the next European Elite Boxing Championships which will be held in Sofia,” said Bulgaria’s genius, Radoslav Rosenov.
