Fantastic talents will compete at the European U17 Boxing Championships – Boxers who need to be watched
The European U17 Boxing Championships will be starting with its Official Draw in Kienbaum later today and high number of stars are waiting for the opening.
England’s Lily Bassett claimed a gold medal at the 2024 European Junior Championships and the unbeaten boxer could be the best female in the entire event. Her teammates such as Serena Mali, Jaya Kalsi and Rihanna Holden are their best further gold medal contenders in Kienbaum.
Poland’s Amelia Urban is a two-time European Champion and she is the main favourite at the women’s 48kg but all of her compatriots have the experience to win medals.
Ireland has always a wonderful U17 team and their Paige Nickels, Ruth Dossen, Jason Maher and Conor Dowds are all aiming for titles in Kienbaum. Further top teams such as Ukraine and Turkey also have high number of female and male favourites as well.
The Italian girls are also top class in the squad, their Kesia Reale (54kg), Mira Amadori (57kg), and Rachele Perna (60kg) shined in the preparation events.
Croatia’s promising Valeria Steko and the last year’s silver finisher Lorena Horvat are their key boxers in the current U17 team.
Georgia’s virtuoso boxer with 120 bouts, Shalva Beridze (48kg), additionally Emil Ismailovi (50kg) and Beka Okruashvili (60kg) are their main gold medal favourites.
Germany’s Sophie Staschewski, Sofia Waschenko, Calvin Mattern, Baker Nemer, Artur Mangold and Louis Koeber are the most experienced in the team.
Hungary’s Krisztina Bodnar, Istvan Czifra and the big puncher, Levente Turos are all aiming high.
The Dutch team contains only two boxers, but both Zoe Vogels and Samir Arndell could be the stars of the event.
Bulgaria’s Valya Nikolaeva, France’s Noa Sanchez, Greece’s Alexandros Konstantinoudis, who has strong family roots in boxing, Lithuania’s European silver medallist Evelina Lescik, Romania’s Andrei Iofciu, Slovakia’s duo, Karolina Kollarova, Kristian Harasnik, and Montenegro’s Matija Roganovic are the further boxers who need to be watched in Kienbaum.
