The spotlight on Mr. Dragoljub Radovic – The “True Gentleman in Boxing”

The boxers are the most important factors in our sport but there are wonderful officials who support the success of the competitions from the background. Mr. Dragoljub Radovic is one of the best boxing officials in the entire world and we can call him the “True Gentleman in Boxing”.

Drago, as everybody knows him, was born in Niksic, Montenegro in 1978 and the hard-working gentleman joined our sport twelve years ago.

He was the Executive Director of the Serbian Boxing Federation between 2013 and 2017 while he is the Sports Director in the Montenegro Boxing Association from 2020.

He started his successful diplomatic career as an International Technical Official (ITO) in 2014 which he upgraded into Supervisor/Technical Delegate in 2016.

He had a major role as TD or Competition Director in the success of dozens editions of the European Boxing Championships and World Boxing Championships in the previous nearly one decade.

His continuous hard work resulted in high popularity for him in all of the countries where he worked between 2013 and 2025.

Montenegro’s boxing city, Budva hosted the European U15 Boxing Championships in October 16-26 this year and Drago was one of the key officials in the strong success of the record-breaking competition.

He was invited by the Hungarian Boxing Association to cover and support the European U23 Championships in Budapest which was featured last month with an impressive organizational level.

His ethic, patient style, and impressive problem-solving skills make him a unique official and person in the boxing world in these previous twelve busy years.

Drago is also a polite person, which is what boxing really needs in these hard times to keep our sport in the highest level in terms of organizations, competition related matters, logistics and ethics.
