Mikaeljan new WBC World cruiserweight champion

Norair Mikaeljan (28-3) is the new WBC World cruiserweight champion. Mikaeljan on Saturday night in Los Angeles dethroned Badou Jack (29-4-3). Mikaeljan won via unanimous decision (116:110, 115:111 and 116:110).

It was a rematch between them. In the first fight on May this year Jack won via majority decision.

After Mikaeljan claimed the title, it was Gilberto Ramirez (48-1) who said he wants a unification fight. Ramirez has WBA Super World and WBO World titles.
