The winners at the men’s 60kg and 65kg weight categories all advanced to the semi-finals in the Adriatic Pearl Youth Tournament in Budva on Day5 while the Round Robin event for the girls continued with exciting contests.

Boxers from the 2008 and 2009 age groups are important for all of the National Federations worldwide.

Sweden’s best female U19 boxer, Medina Zaman used her attacking style of boxing and she had the routine to beat Kazakhstan’s Zhamilya Bolatbekkyzy with a great finish at the 54kg weight category.

Ukraine’s Anna Koloturska impressed in the international events in 2025 and she started well against Kazakhstan’s Zhannur Kaldybek in their 57kg meeting. The Ukrainian had the confidence against the first round and she defeated the strong Kazakh in Budva.

Sweden’s next female ace in this age group, Paradisia Smesem had a tight loss in the third competition day but due to the Round Robin system, she could improve her tactics to beat Kazakhstan’s Zhainagul Sabyrzhan in the tightest bout of the day.

Croatia’s Agata Stajcer felt the rhythm better than in her last appearance in Budva and she triumphed over Kazakhstan’s Kseniya Svechkarova at the 65kg. Her teammate, Lana Skupnjak is also a strong future prospect but she lost to Ukraine’s Iryna Onopriyenko on Day5.

Romania’s Andrei Fleseriu delivered his best performance with right timing against Ukraine’s Maksym Mashevskyi and he controlled their 60kg quarter-final bout while Kyrgyzstan’s Umar Orusbayev also marched to the las four.

Kazakhstan’s Daniyar Akbissenov is one of the top gold medal favourites at the men’s 60kg weight class but he had to keep the full focus to beat Serbia’s Nikola Bogatinovski. His compatriot, Ruslan Rusanov failed to get a medal in Budva after his close loss to Sweden’s Ruohin Isak Abdulwahab.

Austria’s Balkan Tournament winner Ivan Bezuhlyi, Azerbaijan’s Vusal Azizov, Kazakhstan’s Akzhurek Kalabay and Montenegro’s Vuk Dabovic all managed their pathways to the semi-finals at the men’s 65kg.
