Strong day for Morocco and the quarter-final line-ups are all confirmed in Bangkok

Morocco had a strong competition day at the World Boxing U19 Future Cup in Bangkok on Day5 and all of the quarter-final line-ups are confirmed.

England’s Lily Bassett is a star at the women’s 48kg weight category and she stopped Mongolia’s Altanzul Altangadas in the third round and she will now meet for the medal Romania’s Iasmina Moraru.

The next ace at the women’s 48kg category, Uzbekistan’s Maftuna Musurmonova had a superb performance against Mexico’s Atena Juarez and she can expect a hard quarter-final against Azerbaijan’s Gular Huseynova.

Kazakhstan’s Aknur Tursyngali was slightly better than Italy’s Kesia Reale at the 57kg while United States’ strong Brijhana Epperson also eliminated China’s Wu Mengxie in the same way, 3:2.

Slovakia’s Karolina Kollarova bowed out one of the top Asians, India’s Prachi with great counter-attacks. Netherlands’ Liz Thijssen also had the routine to beat Colombia’s Shirly Granada in this weight category.

Mexico’s Jonathan Bibriesca won one of the best contests of the day against Turkmenistan’s Abdyrasul Arslanov at the men’s 55kg. Spain’s Manuel Bueno bowed out of his way strong rivals in Bangkok and he defeated Dominican Republic’s Michael Reyes by 3:2.

Kyrgyzstan’s Asian Junior Champion Akhmadi Arvaz stopped Hungary’s Levente Turos in the first round and he marched to the quarter-finals. Qatar has been focusing to the 2030 Asian Games and their Moussa Ratma defeated Turkey’s Hakan Arda Ilgun with a spectacular performance.

Morocco’s duo, Ziyad El-Khaddari and Maaroune Jaafri both used their strength to beat opponents from Benin and India in the fifth day of boxing when England’s Michael Maughan caused a sensational success over Uzbekistan’s Saidkhudja Sadillakhudjayev at the 70kg.

Uzbekistan’s Nazokat Mardonova, Turkey’s Bengisu Karakoc, India’s Chandrika Bhoreshi Pujari, Jordan’s Tala Hussein, China’s Zhang Ju, Spain’s Andrea Buelga, Poland’s Natasza Kosziec and Morocco’s Rihab Hamdoune all are quarter-finalist at the women’s 51kg.
