Usyk dominates, stops Dubois in nine

Ukrainian world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk defended his WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO belts.

Usyk stopped Britain’s Daniel Dubois in ninth round, in Wroclaw, Poland.

Usyk dominated the fight and dropped Dubois two times, once in end of 8th round and then again in 9th round with a strong right.

In 5th round Usyk was down from a punch. that referee rated as low blow. Referee gave some minutes time for Usyk to recover.

Usyk continued strongly and managed to stop Dubois.  

Dubois (19-2) was mandatory challenger. For him was second loss in pro boxing career.   

Usyk (21-0) after the fight was asked if he would be ready to face WBC champion Tyson Fury.

“I’m ready tomorrow”, answered Usyk.

Dubois after the fight said he felt “cheated of the victory”, when asked about the 5th round punch. He said it was not a low blow.
