Shala defeats Dietz wins IBF International and IBO Inter-Continental heavyweight titles

Granit Shala (17-1, 6 KOs) defeated Daniel Dietz (13-1, 12 KOs) on Saturday night in Karlsruhe and took IBF International and IBO Inter-Continental heavyweight titles.

Shala won via split decision. Two judges saw him as clear winner (117:111 and 116:112) and one saw Dietz as winner (115:113).

Shala is part of AGON Sports and is coached by Agron Kutisi.

He fought in April this year against Ukraine’s Oleksandr Zakhozhyi for EBU European title but lost by KO in round two. After that loss Shala came back and won now two fights in a row.

In co-main event on Saturday night in Karlsruhe, Sarah Bormann (19-1) won the WBO World minimum weight title defeating Jennifer Sabrina Meza (9-4) via unanimous decision.
