Conor Benn vs. Chris Eubank Jr scheduled for April in London
Chris Eubank Jr (34-3, 25 KOs) will fight Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) in London on April.
Turki Alalshikh, chair of the General Entertainment Authority which has staged a sequence of high-profile events under the Riyadh Season banner, said Eubank vs Benn was “done in April, London”.
Benn revealed on Tuesday night that he has signed for the fight.
Eubank Jr and Benn – the sons of great rivals Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn – were originally meant to face each other in October 2022, only for the latter to fail two drug tests.
Benn’s licence was removed by the British Boxing Board of Control but the suspensions were lifted last November after the National Anti-Doping Panel stated it was “not comfortably satisfied” the 28-year-old had committed a doping offence.
The only sticking point is weight. Benn fights normally in welterweight and Eubank Jr fights two weight divisions higher.
