Rygielska, Kuczewska, Van der Toorn, Lakotar and Kukhta all were brilliant at the Bocskai today

Aneta Rygielska, Natalia Kuczewska, Maud Van der Toorn, Hanna Lakotar, and Kukhta Vladislava all won their women battles at the 69th edition of the Bocskai Memorial Tournament in Debrecen today.  

The Bocskai Memorial Tournament is one of the oldest competitions in the whole world since the 1950s.

Poland’s Natalia Kuczewska eliminated Czechia’s Claudia Totova in the first competition day and she continued her winning path against a young Hungarian, Karmen Horvath at the women’s flyweight (51kg) today.

Hungary’s European bronze medallist Hanna Lakotar used the perfect strategy against Finland’s Teresa Maekinen and her main rival, Poland’s Wiktoria Rogalinska also won a superb contest at the women’s bantamweight (54kg) on Day2.

Netherlands’ Youth World Champion Maud Van der Toorn outpointed Hungary’s Rebeka Dobos at the lightweight (60kg) but Poland’s Olympian Aneta Rygielska, Croatia’s strong Sara Beram and Hungary’s ex-Kazakh Vladislava Kukhta all joined the semi-finals in Debrecen today.

Netherlands’ Olympian Chelsey Heijnen eliminated Hungary’s Dominika Nemeth as first and she had a close success over Poland’s teenager, Kinga Krowka at the women’s 65kg weight class in the Bocskai where another Olympian, Luca Hamori also succeeded.

Wales’ teenager Milwyn Lloyd dominated his 65kg contest against a local opponent and he joined the Top8 in Debrecen. Czechia’s best elite boxer, Erik Suchy, Azerbaijan’s Youth World silver medallist Ali Abdullayev and Hungary’s European Junior Champion Levente Olah all advanced to the quarter-finals.

The Hungarians dominated the men’s middleweight (75kg) in Debrecen, all of their four boxers such as Isaac Oroyowve, Levente Gemes, Balazs Kiraly and Romeo Buza won their meeting today while Lithuania’s Darius Voisnarovic triumphed at the 85kg.
