WBO orders Usyk to fight Parker

World Boxing Organization (WBO) ordered heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs0 to fight Interim champion Joseph Parker (36-3, 24 KOs).

WBO World Championship Committee informed that teams have 30 days to reach terms. If they fail then will be ordered a purse bid.

“The parties have 30 days to reach terms. Failure to do so will result in this Committee ordering purse bid proceedings in accordance with WBO Regulations of World Championship Contests. Lastly, the WBO reserves its right to issue any and all further rulings deemed necessary, helpful, and convenient to accomplish the purposes, policies, an intent of the WBO rules, including but not limited to serving those interests that best boxing and the Heavyweight Division”, was written in WBO letter sent to both teams.

It was reported that Usyk could fight Daniel Dubois for undisputed heavyweight title. Usyk holds WBC, WBO, WBA and IBO world titles. Dubois is IBF world champion.
