Switzerland’s No.1, Anna Jenni – I am working hard to do better in all events in 2025

Switzerland’s Anna Jenni proved amazing development in the recent one year and following her great performance at the Gee Bee Tournament in Finland, she won the Brussels Capital Tournament in Belgium.

Switzerland’s No.1, Anna Jenni secured the last female title In the Brussels Capital Tournament where she defeated a super talented boxer, France’s Maelys Richol at the 65kg final. Her success is the result of hard work, enthusiasm and full focus on boxing.

“After the controversial qualification bout in Bangkok one year ago, where I lost to 3:2 split decision, I have decided to go up to the 65kg weight class.

I competed in the Silesian Women’s Open Tournament after that and I had to stop my campaign in the semi-finals because of a cut, as we did not have headguards in that competition in Gliwice, Poland.

I won the Round Robin female competition in the King of the Ring Tournament in Boras, Sweden last November and I also achieved the gold medal in the Swiss National Championships.

I started the preparations in this new category this year and I earned a silver medal at the Gee Bee Tournament in Helsinki, Finland. After that, I had a great win with three triumphs at the Brussels Capital Tournament in Belgium.

The main goal of this year is to be in shape and perform my very best at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool this September. Before that, I will compete in the Montana Belts Tournament in France and the Grand Prix Usti nad Labem in the Czech Republic.

I learnt a lot in high quality bouts last year including at the World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Events and the European Boxing Championships. I lost 3:2 split decisions several times but I am working hard to do better in all events this year,” said Switzerland’s No.1, Anna Jenni after the event.
