Yanko Iliev, Ahmet Koci and Josip Tokic won the main awards at the Lah Nimani Youth Tournament
The 17th edition of the Lah Nimani Youth Memorial Tournament was held in Prishtina, Kosovo in the recent days where eight boxers celebrated their titles.
Kosovo Boxing Federation’s international event was a good opportunity for the U19 boxers to meet the region’s best talents and check their current skills before the main championships.
Mr. Latif Demolli, Kosovo’s 3-star Referee & Judge and their Secretary General, was the key engine of the Lah Nimani Memorial Tournament as in the previous years.
The venue of the event was the Palace of Youth and Sports in Prishtina, which is the capital city of Kosovo.
Bulgaria’s Yanko Iliev became the Best Boxer of the Lah Nimani Youth Tournament following his success at the 55kg weight class over Albania’s Stiven Xhixhi.
Albania’s Ahmet Koci received the Best Technical Boxer Award after beating Bulgaria’s powerful Sami Khalil in the final of the 75kg weight class which was one of the strongest divisions in the entire competition.
Montenegro’s Vuk Dabovic and North Macedonia’s Rion Bajrami produced the best fight of the tournament, the first won their final bout at the 70kg weight category.
Croatia’s heavyweight star, Josip Tokic was named as the Best International Boxer in Prishtina, he stopped Albania’s Kledison Gurraj in the first round of the final bout.
Kosovo’s Riad Isufi announced as the Best National Boxer during the Lah Nimani Youth Tournament where he demonstrated his strength in the first final of the event, at the 50kg.
Bosnia & Herzegovina’s Emir Serifovic got the fair play award in Prishtina but he was not able to beat Bulgaria’s experienced Atanas Dinkov in the final of the 65kg.
North Macedonia’s Bernard Osmani was named as the Best Prospect of the event and he bagged a silver medal in Kosovo’s capital city.
