Nakatani would welcome potential fight with Jesse Rodriguez

WBC World bantamweight champion Junto Nakatani (30-0, 23 KOs) would welcome a potential clash with Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez (21-0, 14 KOs), who is WBC champion in super-flyweight division.

Nakatani will face Ryosuke Nishida on June 8 in Tokyo, Japan in a unification fight against IBF champion Ryosuke Nishida (10-0, 2 KOs).

Nakatani is a three-division world champion.

“I’m interested in fighting anyone who’s strong, or is a good fighter,” he told Boxing News. “So yes, [fighting Rodriguez] would definitely be an interest of mine.”

Rodriguez will fight Phumelela Cafu, the WBO champion, in a unification bout on July 19 in USA.
